The Z-07M and Z-10M are efficient dual band antennas for 2m and 70cm, which offer a completely new way of installing antennas. The low profile base is attached to clean and flat surface by means of a strong self sticking tape. No more mechanical work, no more drilling huge holes in the chassis of the car! The type of installation is perfectly suitable for vehicles with glass fibre reinforced cabins like RVs or the alcove on top of a truck. Due to the electrical design as 'radial-less' antenna, the Z-07M and Z-10M do not require the metallic surface as a counterpoise. So these antennas will work at places where others cannot be installed due to mechanical or electrical reasons. Of course you can install these antennas also on a glass roof of a car, or even a glass window at home.
The radiators of the Z-07M and the Z-10M can be tilted in two directions and can be easily removed when driving through a car wash, the required tools (hex wrench) is included. The supplied cable is a japanese cable type 2D-LFB-S with approx. 4 mm outer diameter and 5m length. The PL connector at the end can be removed, so that the cable can fit into narrow ducts and holes of the chassis. The antenna weighs only 270 g or 290 g which makes it suitable for use as vehicle antenna at higher speeds.
