On air on vacation - Island Langeoog: Carstens amateur radio adventures

Here comes a small report from the vacation of Carsten - DF2DD on EU-047 / DLFF0010 - island Langeoog. The North Sea attracts him again and again and this year Carsten was already for the 5th time on the island. Last from 02.10.22 to 08.10.22.



With permission from my apartment complex, I may temporarily set up the telescopic mast on my 2nd floor balcony.

First I like the peace and the deceleration on a car-free island. I use the time to relax, to find peace and to do a little radio work. Also the "Langeoognews" reported about my radio activity on the island.

This time I had in an extra suitcase also amateur radio equipment with me:

In this vacation I succeeded again many nice connections world-wide. In particular on 40m I was with the IOTA number EU-047 a gladly seen QSO partner. On 40m alone I had 127 connections. The antenna worked well and so I managed also many contacts outside Europe. For example HZ, 9K2, W and also a contact to CE.

I look forward already again to my next vacation on the island, when it is again called: CQ from DF2DD on EU-047/DLFF0010 ... QRZ?
