The system is based on the cleverly designed, adjustable MCC coil (Multi Configuration Coil). Tuning to the operating frequency is achieved precisely by adjusting the coil length, among other things. The selected position is secured with a locking lever, providing optimum protection against wind and unintentional impacts. Together with the extendable telescopic rod SS58, 4 wire radials and a counterweight with variable length, it is possible to work in the complete frequency spectrum from 60 to 6 m; from 40 m to 10 m even without the use of an antenna tuner! You are not limited to pure QRP operation, but can operate with transmission powers of up to 500 watts (SSB). 

In contrast to wire antennas, the advantage here is that there is no need to find a point to suspend the antenna or the elements. It is therefore not necessary to carry a portable mast, saving space and weight. The supplied ground spike or the tripod adapter with 3/8" thread can be used for mounting. For transportation and storage, each of the 4 wire radials can be wound up on a winder quickly, neatly and without the risk of tangling. An additional wire radial, approx. 10.3 m long, is located on a reel with a practical crank and can be operated with a variable length. A ready-made coaxial cable, length approx. 3.6 m, including PL plugs and choke, is used for connection to the transceiver.

The PRV antenna system is available in 3 "expansion stages":

1. PRV-SOTA ("LIGHT KIT"): Equipped as described above
2. PRV-POTA ("HEAVY KIT"): additionally with universal clamp bracket 'CHA-UCM' and two extension rods 'CHA-EXTENDER12' for mounting the antenna base approx. 30 cm higher
3. Only MCC coil without additional accessories: Ideal as a starting point for your own experiments or with existing accessories
