Quickly stowed away in hiking luggage and versatile in the frequency spectrum from 40 m - 70 cm: The TRS-3 antenna base by DIAMOND has a 1/4" female thread on the bottom and can be mounted on many commercially available photo tripods. An additional hole is used to engage the anti-rotation device.
Radials or grounding can be connected to the three M5 threaded screw connections on the sides, and fastened with the included thumbscrews without additional tools.
Setup and commissioning are thus quickly accomplished in just a few steps.
The TRS-3 has two connections:
- PL vonnector (female) on approx. 20 cm coax cable, for connection to the transceiver.
- PL connector (female) on the top for plugging in any mobile/portable antenna with integrated PL connector.
Of course, with an additionally available adapter (e.g. PL to N or DV) it is also possible to use antennas which do not have a PL connector.
