Grazioli vertical antennas 1/2λ, 10/11m or 20m

The Grazioli omni directional antennas with a wavelength of 1/2 λ are characterized by the use of high-quality and durable materials, as well as high resilience. For the particularly precisely manufactured element tubes, the resistant aluminum alloy AW6063-T66 is used. 

The antennas of the HW series are available in 2 versions:

HW10V, 10/11m (26 - 30 MHz) 

Height 5.94 m, tuning by changing the radiator length as well as fine-tuning at the antenna base by a PTFE-insulated variable capacitor (40 kV)

HW20V, 20 m (covering the complete 20 m amateur radio band)

Height 10.7 m, fine-tuning at the base by a PTFE-insulated variable capacitor (40 kV)

The HIGH "Q" MATCHING CIRCUIT

A special parallel LC circuit has been designed for the HW series to match the high impedance of this type of antenna when fed at the base.

The high quality coil is generously sized with widely spaced turns and designed without metal cores. The coaxial variable capacitor (similar to a Gamma Match) is located at the base next to the coil for easy tuning. Thanks to its PTFE insulation, it can withstand extremely high voltages in excess of 40 kV, is insensitive to ambient temperature, rain and humidity, and does not heat up even at high power.

In designing the matching circuit, the manufacturer carefully adjusted both the inductance (L) and capacitance (C) to obtain a truly efficient circuit that is reliable and trouble-free. All this results in high efficiency and the ability to provide RF power up to 3 kW in all modes of operation.

In addition, the coil is directly DC grounded to reduce atmospheric noise significantly.

It can also be seen in the details that the manufacturer is breaking new ground instead of relying on standard solutions: for example, the antenna connector is not a standard SO239 socket as used by most manufacturers, but a part developed and manufactured by Grazioli itself. This reliable connector has a true characteristic impedance of 50 ohms and is designed for frequencies up to 500 MHz, withstanding high continuous RF power levels.

The housing is made of CW614N nickel-plated brass, while the pin is plated with 24-karat gold to prevent oxidation and is equipped with a PTFE insulator that maintains its centering and elasticity to prevent contact loss.

The entire assembly is protected by a special elastomer jacket that prevents water and moisture from entering.

The included corrosion-resistant mounting hardware allows the antenna to be attached to poles with diameters from 40 - 54 mm.

For the 20 m version HW20V, guy clamps are also included. Due to the length of the antenna, we highly recommend guying with suitable guying material.
