Technical description

The Hari monoband dipoles are available for all shortwave bands in unabridged form (fullsize dipole). Always built with a solid balun with a maximum permissible transmitting power of 1000 W and fully assembled. For the 'long' bands there are also shortened versions with max. 200 W power handling.

Hari dipoles are characterised by a robust construction of steel wire and potted balun. This prevents water from penetrating. This makes the balun a little heavier, but this is easily compensated for by the steel cable of the antenna, which can be loaded in tension. The length of the dipoles is adjusted to the lower end of the band (CW range), so that during installation and depending on the suspension, adjustment to the desired band range may still be necessary.

Application description

A monoband dipole is the simplest and most efficient dipole design. The dipole can be suspended in different ways depending on the structural conditions and, depending on height and suspension, achieves different directional characteristics. As an inverted-V set up close to the ground, it is an ideal omnidirectional antenna with strong steep radiation and thus good for local traffic. The higher the dipole hangs the flatter the radiation and the better the DX chances.

Due to the robust construction of the Hari dipoles, these antennas can be used for years without maintenance. For horizontal suspension, you need two rigging points, for example a tree with a pulley and the wall of a house. Insulators and cable clamps are included in the delivery. For installation, a short piece of non-conductive rope should be used at the ends of the dipole.
