The 18JXX13 from I0JXX is a compact and lightweight directional antenna for applications in the 13 cm band. It is mounted on the mast at the rear end of the boom to save space, a mast clamp for masts with a diameter of 30 - 60 mm is included. 

The one-piece boom is only 80 cm long, so it can also be operated portably, or taken to field day.

The 18JXX13 can be operated with an input power of up to 100 watts, the coaxial supply is via an N-connector (female).

Application description 18JXX13

The 13 cm band offers a relatively high bandwidth of 100 MHz, which allows it to perform wideband communications at high data rates. This makes it ideal for use with digital modes such as high-speed data transfer, ATV (Amateur Television) and other multimedia applications.

Despite the comparatively high frequency, the 13 cm band also allows operation over relatively long distances. With high-quality equipment and good antenna technology, radio amateurs can be able to communicate over hundreds of kilometers and establish interesting connections.
