Technical description

The InnovAntennas Dualband Yagis for 6m and 10m are constructed from two independent and nested Yagi systems. This allows the construction of compact dual-band Yagis with a relatively short boom.

Both antenna systems use a common antenna cable. Antennas with multiple feed lines may suffer from interference, which is avoided here.

The dual-band Yagis for 6 and 10m were calculated with modern software and then optimised by hand. As a result, designer Justin, G0KSC, achieves good gain and very good robustness to provide reliable performance even in adverse weather conditions.

Application description

The 10m and 6m amateur radio bands both have their own special characteristics in terms of propagation conditions. Here it is always worth watching the bands and waiting for short-term band openings.

The gain-optimised dual-band agis for 6m and 10m from InnovAntennas offer excellent performance with relatively short boom lengths. The two Yagi systems share a common antenna line, making them ideal for use with modern transceivers for shortwave and 6m.

InnovAntennas (UK) was founded in 2010 by Justin Johnson, G0KSC. Justin is a well-known antenna designer and inventor of the LFA (Loop Fed Yagi), OP-DES (Opposing Phase Driven Element System) Yagi and the OWL (Optimised Wideband Low impedance) Yagi. In addition to running the company, Justin presents at antenna forums around the world, including regular participation in the Dayton Hamvention Antenna Forum and contributing to the pages of the ARRL Antenna Book. The production and exclusive distribution of the antennas has been largely outsourced to WiMo (Germany) since 2019.
