Technical description

The POLMAR CUBE is an analog handheld radio for the internationally approved PMR446 range. The CUBE operates on 8 different frequencies in the range of 446.00625 - 446.09375 MHz with a transmit power of 0.5 Watt, sufficient for group communication over distances up to several kilometers (depending on terrain and own location).

The use of die-cast aluminum for the case not only has a positive effect on stability and longevity, but also offers the advantage of better heat dissipation, even if you are on the air for a bit longer.

In addition to 8 "normal" channels, 8 CTCSS channels are also available, thus avoiding interference from other users on the same frequency. These are shown in the display with channel numbers from 1 - 16.

The practical scan function allows you to quickly find an "active" channel without having to repeatedly press the channel selection buttons.

A particularly well thought-out and useful function is the integrated BCLO (Busy Channel Lockout): If several subscribers are on a channel, transmission is prevented until the channel is free again. This prevents the participants from being disturbed or interfering with each other.

Application description

The POLMAR CUBE is a perfect "always with you" radio. Registration and fee-free, without contractual commitment, for leisure and office.

With its extremely compact dimensions of just 80 x 50 mm, it has a footprint smaller than a credit card and is only 23 mm thin! The special feature: There are no protruding parts. Even the antenna is integrated in the miniature housing. Despite the miniaturization, performance and ease of use do not have to be sacrificed. Volume, channels and other functions are set using buttons on the front panel. The easy-to-read, illuminated LC display shows the currently set channel and provides information about the status of the Li-ion battery (3.7 V, 1200 mAh). For quick charging, simply place the radio in the included desktop charger. 

Belt clip and lanyard provide a secure grip. With the included headset, you can not only reliably understand your conversation partner(s) in high noise levels, but also communicate discreetly in a dignified atmosphere without disturbing outsiders.
